Melin Tregwynt is a beautiful whitewashed mill, owned by the same family since 1912 and located in a remote wooded valley on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast of Wales. There has been a working mill on this site since the 17th century, when local farmers would bring their fleeces to be spun into yarn and woven into fine wool blankets. We make all the woven products here in Wales. Our blankets are made in small batches using traditional methods but with a fresh approach to design. The mill uses a combination of modern rapier looms and traditional flying shuttle looms. Most of the cloths you see being woven are unique to Wales and a large number are only woven here at melin tregwynt. You can watch the weaving on weekdays throughout the year. Within our millshop you will find a huge selection of melin tregwynt products, including cushions, throws & blankets. We also stock a wide range of other gifts and foods, many made in Wales and chosen to complement our distinctive style. The coffee shop offers home made and local produce. The Mill can be seen weaving Mon-Fri 9am - 4.30pm. Admission is free. Shop open at weekends also.
