Activities
There is something to suite every taste in Pembrokeshire. Time can be peacefully whiled away along the beautiful coastal path, relaxing in quiet, secret coves, enjoying a few rounds while on a golf holiday or perhaps a soothing massage at the Health and Beauty Centre. Alternatively enjoy a gentle cycle through the countryside or the tranquility of the river from a canoe. For the more adventurous there are activities from quad biking to horse riding, or archery to paintballing. There are many additional activities under the Coastal Activities page. The following are a few examples -
Heritage canoes - take an open canoe ride up the meandering river Teifi into the peaceful Cilgerran Gorge and its National Nature Reserve. Enjoy spectacular views of Cilgerran Castle as you glide upstream in your canoe and watch out for otters, kingfishers,herons,and salmon (go to the Fishing Holiday page).
Wild West All Terrain Centre – fun for all the family rain or shine. A host of activities for visitors to try - grass boarding, archery, quad biking & off road adventuring in 8 wheel amphibious vehicles.
Horse riding on the beach - Everyone can enjoy riding on the beach or along coastal fields and through shady woodland. Beginners may wish to trek quietly through picturesque countryside on horse back, whereas more experienced riders may chose to canter through the sea surf. Visit Nolton Stables for more information.
Sycamores Ranch - is the only dedicated Western Horse Riding Centre and is found in the historic village of Llawhaden (nr Narbeth)in the heart of beautiful Pembrokeshire. They offer 1hr to whole day horse rides for those who have longed to experience the American style trail ride.
The Dunes Riding Centre - Accompanied riding on woodland paths and quiet lanes.
Ritec Valley Quad Bikes - Enjoy the activity of quad biking and negotiate the exciting courses located in the Pembrokeshire countryside around Tenby.
Golf There are several excellent golf courses throughout Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. Go to the golf holiday page. One of the nearest is at Cardigan A fine championship course measuring 6,687 yards, Par 72. Outstanding views from every part of the course – Cardigan bay, the river Teifi estuary & the Preselli Hills. We've also received good reports from guests about the course at the The Cliff in Gwbert.
