Access statement for River Cottage

Click images to enlarge Our self catering holiday cottages are located at the end of the private tarmac drive which leads to the Castell Malgwyn Hotel, Llechryd. There are “speed ramps” located along this drive. There is a dedicated free car parking area for our guests in front of the Courtyard cottages. This is a flat gravel surfaced area. Motor vehicles are NOT permitted beyond the stone gate pillars in to the Courtyard itself.

Main entrance for this holiday cottage is approximately 35 metres from the car parking area. This is a level walk over a loose gravel surface.
There are three concrete steps - maximum step rise height 180mm & minimum step depth 300mm, leading up to the front door - clearance width 780mm.
Accommodation is all on ground floor level.

Ground floor Accommodation

All the internal doorways in the cottage have a clearance 750mm wide and 1980mm high.
Spacious lounge with natural lighting & additional reading lighting. Remote TV & video controls. The sitting area has two low “deep” sofas, one easy chair and a leather sofa. The dining table has “high back” chairs.
The kitchen has work surfaces & appliances fitted at conventional heights 9100mm.
Conventional bathroom with WC & pedestal basin - height 850mm. Step up 160mm into shower cubicle - width 1200mm, breadth 900mm, cubicle door clearance 570mm.
En suite WC/shower room with two steps up (one tiled) – maximum step rise 200mm, minimum step depth - 300mm in to shower. Shower cubicle dimensions - 1200mm x 900mm.
Light switches and at conventional heights. Power points at 1.2m • BT payphone (out going calls only, accepts 10 pence pieces) located in the kitchen.

Public transport bus stop in Llechryd village approximately 1000m walk (on the flat ) from the Courtyard.
