Click images to enlarge Our self catering holiday cottages are located at the end of the private tarmac drive which leads to the Castell Malgwyn Hotel, Llechryd. There are “speed ramps” located along this drive. There is a dedicated free car parking area for our guests in front of the Courtyard cottages. This is a flat gravel surfaced area. Motor vehicles are NOT permitted beyond the stone gate pillars in to the Courtyard itself.

Entrance Main entrance of this holiday cottage is approximately 62m from the car parking area. This is a level walk over a loose gravel surface. There is an L-shaped set of 6 slate steps, with hand rail, leading to the main entrance door - maximum step rise 220mm, minimum step tread depth 280mm. Doorway width 790mm. Accommodation is over two floors.

Ground floor Accommodation

The narrowest doorway on the ground floor is 700mm wide leading from hall to Downstairs bathroom.
2 steps up - maximum step rise 240mm & minimum step tread depth 380mm from dining area to lounge area. No hand rail. Natural lighting & additional reading lighting. Remote TV, DVD & video controls. The sitting area has 2 low “ deep” set sofas and chair. It also has a 2 seater upright leather sofa and matching chair. The dining area has another 2 seater sofa. The dining table has “high back” chairs.
The kitchen has work surfaces & appliances fitted at conventional heights 910mm.
Shower room with WC & pedestal basin - height 770mm. Shower cubicle - 1200mm x 900mm.
Light switches at conventional heights and power points at 1.2m .

First floor Accommodation

Semi-spiral slate staircase with hand-rail leading to galleried landing. 13 steps - maximum rise 190mm, minimum tread depth 260mm. Please observe overhead wooden beam on staircase. All first floor doorways 740mm wide (except twin bedroom see below).
Split level first floor accommodation. At top of main staircase galleried landing area leads to family bedroom with restricted headroom. Bedroom doorway 690mm wide. Two single beds, dressing area and 2 steps down to king size bed area.
6 steps - maximum step rise 190mm, minimum tread depth 200mm up from galleried landing to main bathroom, bunk bedroom and two further bedrooms. Minimum clearance 810mm on upper landing area.
Upstairs bathroom - WC, Jaccuzi bath 1400mm x 1400mm with wall mounted shower over and pedestal wash hand basin. Bath height 520mm. Pedestal height 820mm. No hand rail on bath.
Bunk bedroom. 3 foot wide bunk beds. Attached wooden ladder to top bunk bed.
BT payphone (out going calls only, accepts 10 pence pieces) in Mobile phone networks are unreliable in the cottages

Public transport bus stop in Llechryd village approximately 1000m walk (on the flat) from the Courtyard.
