Scott and Sheila, Carrie and Lewis (the kids) Feb’08. A beautifully idyllic cottage in such a wonderful setting. Extremely comfortable with a great balance between classic cottage style with most up to date modern comforts. Thank you for providing the foundation to sucha great week away.
G. Stone March ’08. Was delighted with the cottage on arrival and found it a highly peaceful building set in an idyllic location. Clearly a lot of time and thought has been invested into creating a place where it was hard not to relax and unwind. I don’t think you could wish for a more pleasant location and we would come back in the future.

The cottage itself we found to be very comfortable and with every modern convenience to hand. We have also enjoyed the local countryside and surrounding culture. Lynda, John, Cathy and Lee. Sam, Chris and Saddie (black Labrador) and Hemish (Westie). March ’08. This is our second visit to the Secret cottage and we have had a fabulous time. Before we arrived the weather forecast was snow, rain etc. but the weather has been great for this time of year, even lots of sunshine ! We love the surrounding beaches – Poppit, New Quay, Saundersfoot, Newgale and Tenby – fantastic for the dogs, Saddie in particular loves to run into the sea. We did the riverside walk to the castle at Cilgerran and sat outside the Cardiff Arms with a well deserved drink and water for the dogs. Would recommend the White Hart, Cenarth, New Castle Emlyn for a meal – had the most delicious Steak and Kidney pie ever. This has been a truly memorable holiday and John celebrated his birthday on Easter Saturday here. When Lee (cottage manager) saw the birthday cards she presented us with a bottle of cava ! Thank you so much it was a lovely thought. We love Secret cottage xxx.
Timmins & Cotterells May ‘08. I think the cottage is really good. I’ve had a great time here and enjoyed every second. This is our second visit and both visits have been a great holiday for us all.
Helen, Rick, Olivia, Emma, Steve, Christine, Laurence & Rian May ’08. A beautiful cottage set in wonderful surroundings We all had a wonderful time. The games room was a great surprise – very well stocked. Must admit we were all a little noisy when United won against Chelsea, hope we didn’t disturb anyone too much. We enjoyed two meals at the Nag’s Head, had great days out at Aberporth and Tenby, Olivia really enjoyed Folly Farm. We thought Oakwood Amusement Park was great value for money.
Hadden Family. May ’08. Excellent holiday. Cottage in lovely location. Survived the rains and found plenty to do. Poppit beach lovely. Please could we have a Saturday to Saturday let – found it difficult to face a 5 hour jouney after teaching year 10s all day!
Allen Family June ’08. Had a great stay – accommodation very satisfactory. Weather dry and sunny bar for the last full day. Enjoyed visits to the Butterfly Centre and Chocolate Farm. We also went to the Honey Farm and learnt about bees! I loved being in Wales (aged 5yrs) Good accommodation, lots of nearby attractions and scenery and location are brilliant (aged 8yrs)
Glen, Christine, Brumas and Buddy. June ’08. Beautiful cottage in a perfect setting. Glen caught his first Salmon and Sewin on the fly and the dogs loved the swimming in the river. To be woken by birds and not traffic is wonderful. Thank you for arranging a week of glorious sunshine as well. We’ll be back!
Pete and Alison (June ’08). A spacious and comfortable base from which to explore and walk. We clocked up over 50 miles on superb coastal walks: Fishguard to Dinas circuit; Cardigan to Mwnt (saw 6 dolphins!); and we caught the Poppit Rocket to Moylegrove and walked back to Poppit Sands; also recommend a walk in the Presselli Hills - where Pete did his customary holiday fall (no serious injuries thankfully). It was light til 10 and we could have kept going until then except most restaurants stopped serving around 8.30 (sometimes earlier). Would highly highly recommend ‘Coast’ Bistro (on LHS as enter Fishguard) fab food and beer – (reflected in the price). Thank you for a great holiday cottage.
The Haggertys (July ’08). What a beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage ! Had a lovely time ( even with 2 teenagers!!) despite horrible weather. Had day trips to Mwnt beach (great but very windy) and Poppit Sands (even managed to BBQ!), Fishguard lovely and New Quay back on return. Fed the gorgeous fouls at Cardigan Bay and saw the seals. My 16 yr old son fished in the river every night Would definitely come back ~ maybe with the grandchildren !!! (hopefully not before 10 years at least!!) X.
