We are delighted to see that you have enjoyed your stay in Pembrokeshire, and particularly your short break / holiday at the Pembrokeshire Courtyard Holiday Cottages.
Our 3 dogs love hearing how much your dogs have enjoyed their stay at our pet friendly cottages ! We haven't heard of a dog yet that hasn't been bowled over by their walks / runs / swims on the beautiful Pembrokeshire Beaches!
The views expressed represent those of our guests, for which we take no responsibility.

Claire, Ian, Andy, Kirsty & Bonny (Feb 2011). Beautiful spot – convenient for sightseeing and beaches. Good parts –

Poppit Sands – Ferry Inn on way serves lovely food

Mwnt Beach+ chapel lovely

Nags Head – a lovely meal but a good hours walk and its located at the far end of the village. It also has limited opening hours ( i.e. not between 2 +6pm). Close to it is another pub (PENRHIW) which is a very typical ‘old mans’ pub – staff very welcoming! Opens at 5…

Rachael + Carol (11-18thMarch 2011). Wonderful holiday. Lovely cosy cottage with comfy beds. Location stunning and really recommend walk along the river to the castle- really not far! Mwnt Beach and Poppit sands outstanding and CocoPet friendly accommodation had a great time which meant for a quiet evening! Thank you.

Bernie + Ty (11-18thMarch'11). Had a great time, beautiful cottage and location. Views around area are stunning, loved Poppit sands, Mwnt beach + Cardigan. Newportquaint & lovely, friendly people. Needed two weeks to explore more! Maybe next time – Many thanks.

Joe & Suzanne Smiddy (14thApril'11). Lovely setting, lovely friendly people. Could be more buggy friendly. Child safety for river could be more secure, also spaces between railing is to big child could get caught in large openings clothes horse for drying clothes would be handy For this time of year outside lights shud be working light is their but no bulb in fitting.

NOTE FROM OWNERS: Apologies about the outside light - since these only come on at dusk it is easy to miss during the day. If you had let us know we would have replaced it during your stay. Thank you for letting us know though it meant wecould replace the bulb ready for ournext guests. Wedo provide a clothes airer, it is in the hallway cupboard.

Lucied & Gavin Wolstenholme (29thApril'11). Lovely and relaxing stay for us and our dog. Cottage very homely & comfortable. Garden great for dog. Visited some wonderful places Poppit Sands, Gwbert hotel (for lunches), Aberporth all wonderful beaches. Cardigan town very nice & got everything you need. We ate in every night as we came to relax so Tesco very good. Went out all day everyday. We will be returning in the future. ENJOYED OUR STAY & LOVED ALL the grounds and walks.

Georgina, Ben. Charlie & Woolf (2nd– 6thMay'11). We have had a lovely stay and enjoyed visiting many places. St Davids cathedral was beautiful. There are stunning views all around and really pretty beaches. We also had a lovely time visiting friends who live nearby. Would love to come back in the future.

Kevin and Angie Clark, Alfie the choc lab. Gracie the Jack Russell (13th– 20thMay'11). What a lovely, warm. Welcoming cottage. Thank you Dylan and Tanya for all the extra touches that make Courtyard COTTAGES so special. We managed many of the walks in the guides provided and the dogs had so much fun on the beaches. OUR FAVOURITE SPOT WAS Dinas Island, with its lovely bay and we enjoyed the bracing coastal path although Gracie our Jack Russell decided that she doesn’t like heights!!!

Returning home, refreshed fit and feeling like we’ve had a great break. Thank you we will return and recommend to others.

Jenny & Monty Lamont (8th– 15thJuly'11). Home away from home – very comfortable + clean. Good finishing touches for that homely feel. Excellent base to explore the countryside,

Klimach family (22 – 29thJuly'11). Great holiday as always when we come to Pembrokeshire Courtyard Cottages.

Schiels family (27thMay – 3rdJune'11). I enjoyed my visit. But the things I didn’t like were: that there was no WIFI
NOTE FROM OWNERS: Thank you for your feedback about the WIFI. Due to popular request -all the cottages have WIFI now.

Helen + Simon + Nelson the ridgeback (10thJune'11). "GREAT COTTAGE”. Had a great week. Saw a kingfisher on the river bank on the walk to Cilgerran. Saw Dolphins at Mwnt.

Had some great walks + experienced some really beautiful scenery at Mwnt, Dinas head, Strumble head. Great beaches at Poppit Sands + Newport (dog friendly). Best beaches are a bit further away at Newgale and Marloes. Check the tide times. For us the afternoons were best 4pm -5. The tide is right out then. Both of these beaches are the best we’ve ever seen. Both are huge with hard flat sand + rock pools at low tide. Great for the dog and awesome for us. Very very beautiful places. St Davids was very picturesque and the cathedral is worth an hour of anyone’s time.

Best meals we had were fish and chips at the Cardiffarms in Cilgerran. Thai Curry at the Golden Lion, Newport. Fish cakes at the Ferry Inn (just refurbished), St Dogmaels. Café 35 in Solva was excellent - Great Menu.

God Bless + hope you have as good a time in this cottage as we have had.

Brunt Family (6thAug'11). Our first visit to Pembrokeshire + we love it. Cottage was beautiful – comfortable + spacious. Countryside + coast stunning. Great walks along the river. Wonderful surfing – especially Newgale. Found lovely restaurants - Llys Meddys at Newport, The Pharmacie at Solva. Sampled several of the recommended pubs + all good. Hope to return very soon.

Porter family: 3 grown ups, 2 children – 11 + 15, 2 dogs (11thAugust'11).The house and its immediate location are avsolutely beautiful & at one with nature. We loved cooking & eating here. The table football & table tennis got used plenty + cards & scrabble in front of the log fire. Boating and swimming in the river was great & beautiful walks along it to Cilgerran Castle. Saw lots of fish, dippers, kingfishers, heron, cormorants. This area has such a natural pace of life with quiet tourism which really seems to allow normal life & visitors to co- exist at an unspoilt level. Amazing country lanes through beautiful countryside winding their way to lovely coastal coves. We particularly loved Mwnt – no dogs on the beach, but we sat on the grass above & it was a great spot to watch, relax pop down for a swim or to the café (great toasted paninis!). Great activities: boat trip from Gwbert was great, blue lagoon cliff jumping (Abereiddy) walking, body surfing, swimming, rock-pooling, crabbing at Gwbert jetty (9 crabs in 1 take!) & the highlight was Coasteering at Cwbr Bay (ruggedly beautiful) – a real natural adrenaline bang.

We loved our week in Wales& will be back!

Kinloch + Willey family (18thAug'11).Wonderful week in this lovely cottage & its superb location. All three generations of us + our dogs had many happy hours- beaches, miles on coastal paths, seals + dolphins, river walks, castles, churches & of course the wonderful welcoming locals. Many happy memories.

Halford family (9thSeptember 2011). We’ve had a lovely relaxing time in a beautiful setting. River cottage exceeded our expectations, my David was ready to move in full time. Our 3 spaniels loved it, Rose had to be carried to the car after she refused to leave. Spacious, comfy with a warm welcome, would highly recommend felt like a home from home. Would also recommend Ferry Inn at St Dogmaels, dogs OK in old pub part but not in restaurant at the back, afforded lovely views over the estuary + the steak was gorgeous. Definitely hope to return to the Courtyard- its as good as the web site promises – plus more – its perfect. Thank you.

P.S. For other visitors Poppit Beach is good for dog walks all year – restricted area is much smaller than dog friendly area – dogs spent many happy hours there.

Newport Beach & Poppit are fab for the dogs (as it is out of season) Mwnt was just a fantastic place – I want to live there – we saw a seal & three dolphins, couldn’t believe our luck! Our three dogs have thoroughly enjoyed their stay & we even managed to wear our Springer out! That is amazing! The scenery is just awesome & have taken some great photographs. We certainly wish to return ! Anya & David. X.
