We have included every comment from our Visitor's book - without any editing. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your kind comments. We are delighted to see that you have enjoyed your stay in Pembrokeshire, and particularly your short break / holiday at the Pembrokeshire Courtyard Holiday Cottages.
Our 3 dogs love hearing how much your dogs have enjoyed their stay at our pet friendly cottages ! We haven't heard of a dog yet that hasn't been bowled over by their walks / runs / swims on the beautiful Pembrokeshire Beaches!
The views expressed represent those of our guests, for which we take no responsibility.

Pam, Bernie, Jan, Stephen, Kate and Maddie. (January ’10). We have had the most fantastic relaxing time. Cottage is beautiful and so comfortable. Had wonderful walks in the snow at Poppit and Fishguard and found a lovely walk at Neven Estuarytoday. Truly lovely countryside, the walk to Cilgerran Castle form the cottage down river is idyllic. Everyone we have met have been so friendly and it really has been a joy. Maddie, our dog, really enjoyed herself too. Thanks for providing everything that made our stay so enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Jerry and Angie Wall. (January ’10). Had a great week celebrating Jerry’s 40thbirthday. Very relaxing and quiet as we were the only residents in the courtyard! The weather was kind to us and it only rained overnight. Enjoyed a walk along the ‘Tivy’ to Cilgerran Castle. Our highlight was a visit to Mwnt beach and the 11thCentury Chapel, that was a welcome shelter from the weather. We had a lovely time and hope to return again. Many thanks for everything A & J.

Alan and Vivienne Watson. (February ’10). It was wonderful to return here, we lived and owned the stables as it was called then from 1988 – 1998 – it is truly a magical building and a magical place. Everything in both cottages (Secret as well) was beautiful and gave us a wonderful setting in which to enjoy my husband’s 80thbirthday. Only one complaint and that is the inability of being able to drive into the Courtyard to unload – we had so much to carry in (and out again). After all we catered for 18 first night and 24 second night. Put the pots at the gate on rollers please and we may consider coming back for his 90th! Thank you Tanya and Dylan.

Kim, Steve & Dino. (March’10). Great week in perfect setting – weather cold but sunny and dry. Recommend – Mwnt beach & headland for solace…., Poppit Sands for dog walk &rock pools, Newport beach for stunning walk, Pwll Gwaelod – great pub!, Cwm-yr-eglwyss – great small bay, Cenarth Falls – nice walk. Jacuzzi fab for aching muscles! Comfortable, warm, inspirational winter week….

James, Dean, Dolan. (March’10). Ten of us travelled here from London and after an exhausting five-hour drive were thrilled to discover the beauty of our accommodation. The house itself was better equipped than any of our homes, leaving us to want for nothing. An excellent retreat for adults seeking a relaxing break. It was refreshing to have a holiday that wasn’t ruined by the screeching of other people’s off-spring. Will definitely be back, hopefully this summer as I imagine the scene at dusk would be spectacular. 10/10! *****

Karen & John, Sita, Stef, Sara, Wayne, Hannah, Cameron, Elliot, Millie Mo and Morgan the dog. (March’10). Second time in your amazing cottages, perfect place to renew our vows on our 35thWedding Anniversary (15thMarch). Very friendly staff, excellent meal in the Castle Malgwyn Hotel. On the day of our vow renewal the owner of the hotel allowed us to hold gathering at hotel, 6 adults, 4 children and one very large dog (excellent). One small problem for some of our party (ladies) was not being able to have a shower (3 showers not working), but I think it was a small price to pay for such a beautiful setting and such a relaxing week. P.s. The only one glad to be going home is our 12 year old Akita for the rest, not used to so much exercise (poor old girl).

My husband is too kind. The cottage is amazing, but very disappointed with the showers. After trying all three I was either scalded or frozen. Quite a let down! My husband was promised they would be repaired but no-one turned up. Another disappointment!

Calder Family – Mum, Dad, Emily (11) and Louisa (5). (April ’10). Overall we liked the property very much – spacious well-equipped, loads of character and a pretty, peaceful location. The downside for us were the showers (just about managed to get the downstairs one to a usable temperature) and the lack of internet access, made worse by having no mobile signal. We really rely heavily on the web for maps, directions, restaurant details and reviews, weather forecasts etc. And had to talk nicely to the owners of the hotel next door to be able to use their WIFI. We also ate there twice- good food, a little old-fashioned in style, and not cheap (around £35/head with wine) but veryconvenient. Other things we liked in the area: The beach at Mwnt – very pretty, like a Cornish Cove. Tenby- a lovely old-fashioned seaside town. Boat trip around Ramsey Island. The theme park at Oakwood – good rides, short queues, reasonable food. If Pembrokeshire is what you came to see expect to spend time in the car. You are right on the northern edge here and need to allow an hour each way (more for the far south-west) for most destinations.

The not so young ones. (May ’10). Our second time here…fantastic as always. We feel privileged to have such a beautiful, spacious house and cottage for our growing group of old friends (16 people this year…). The lack of internet connection and phone signal gave us the opportunity to devote our time to each others company and helped us to have a truly amazing time. We hope this place will be here for us for many more years to come! X

David Barry. (May ’10).Totally brilliant stay - beautiful house and surroundings - thank you so much we all had a fantastic time and will recommend to our friends!!

Nick, Phil, Dave, Louise, Gav, Krys, Russ, (Jul’10). Our second stay in the Courtyard this year. We love it!

Harriet, Sophie, Sian and Kevin, (Jul’10). I thought this house was great and I had a wonderful time with many activities to enjoy and fabulous beaches. I think this house was a nice area and I had a great time here. I also loved the games room an – it was fun. The sofas were not so comfy I thought. But all in all I had a lovely time.Had an enjoyable holiday, weather could have been kinder. Courtyard House is a relaxing setting.

We had a lovely time and can’t wait to come back! This was a very memorable holiday and we shall not forget it in a hurry!

The fishing is amazing. My dad and I caught two, unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side so could not see all of the great sites that Wales has to offer.

Team Jones (Jul’10). We all had a really excellent time here celebrating Mum’s birthday. Comfortable accommodating 10 of us and 1 small dog with room to spare. We all loved it here especially the kids who made good use of the games room and found it to be purpose-built for hide and seek! Kids hogged the Jacuzzi so adults never managed to find time to use it but kids reported it being fantastic. Good weather whilst we were here so we ate out most nights. Recommend Ferry Inn out near Poppit Sands for a good meal – steak night Tuesday! And a short trip along to Webley waterfront Inn to watch the sunset. We weren’t brave enough to venture to the Carpenter’s Arms, just in case!! The boat trip out to Ramsey Island from St Davids was another highlight – recommended! If anyone wants a great lunch go to the restaurant at the Wildlife Centre – not to be missed.

Thanks for providing such a lovely place to holiday – some info about the intriguing lounge levels would have been appreciated as its been puzzling us all week. I reckon there’s a hidden room down there!!
