Sarah, Mike, Steve, Pam, Harley & Loxy, (New Year 2010). What a fantastic find! Thank you for creating such a lovely place to stay – we really enjoyed our New Year’s break here! It was great to curl up in front of the wood burner after some lovely – snowy – riverside and beach walks. We’d love to return and see it in different seasons. Best of luck for 2010.

Nati and Sharon, (February 2010). Had a fantastic weekend here. Beautiful setting. Cottage was lovely. Very romantic for Valentine’s weekend. Sure will be back again.

John and Claire Cullinane and Baz the dog, (February 2010). Cottage was outstanding. Nice walks around here which was great for the dog as you only had to step out of the front door – he was very happy! We enjoyed the nice cosy relaxing evenings here with the log fire and a few nice bottles of wine. I am glad we found this place on the internet, we have had a lovely chilled- out weekend. Would have loved to have stayed longer – never mind we will come back again later this year. Thank you!

Karen and Richard, (March 2010). Just a short stay. Would have liked a few days longer. Weather very kind, no rain, lots of sunshine, cold nights. Wood burner nice once we’d figured out how to use it without smoking the place out. As not able to take cottage until after 3pm drove directly into Cardigan to get some basic provisions. Had a nice pub lunch at the Black Lion Hotel on the main street. On our first full day did the coast walk from Mwnt to Aberporth. Beautiful but you’re close to cliff edges and large sections not fenced off. As someone who doesn’t like heights it was a bit scary in places. Also the shuttle bus we were told about only operates in Summer so be prepared to either walk back or get a taxi. Ask in the Londis shop in the main street for the number of A2 Taxis. They are two minutes up the road. Will still cost about £9 to get back to Mwnt though. On evening went to Pendre Inn in Cilgerran. Good beer and warm welcome. On second full day did ‘walk 1’ in the walking the Teifi Estuary booklet – Cardigan to Cilgerran circular. Again, some steep drops on the gorge element, but well worth it. No otters and no buffalo (apparently have these on the Reed Marshes in the summer). On evening drove to Dinas Cross to visit Old Sailor Pub/ restaurant. They specialise in locally caught seafood. Dark when we arrived – try to get there to see sunset, it’s supposed to be beautiful. I had Scallops (£7) and a full Lobster (£20) and Karen a huge bowl of Mussels (£5) and Sea Bass (£14). Located right at bottom of hill but for a change roads wide enough! Off home today via St Davids. Intend to come back at some point.

Cath, Jim, Lynn Mugridge & Vince Chambers & Alfie the dog, (March 2010). What a fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting. We have had a lovely relaxing week here. Loved the beaches at Poppit, Newquay, Tenby & St Davids. The Jacuzzi was a big hit with Lynn and Vince! Alfie loved his walks along the riverbank! Will definitely be back when all the boat trips etc are in full swing. Thank you Tanya and Dylan.

Denise and Andy McGowan & ‘Evie’ the dog, (April 2010). Such a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Just what we needed to de-stress. Evie loved all the walks & beaches. Poppit Sands especially. Thank you so much or our 20thWedding Anniversary. We certainly had a memorable stay and would live to come back when the weather is nicer!!

Cameron, LeeAnne, Keegan, Connor. The dog ‘’Pie’’, (April 2010). Hi There!JLet me start by commenting on the cottage. A simply magnificent cottage around 140 years old, with some very nice original features such as wooden beams and vintage pots in the higher part of the kitchen. The B&Q kitchen is very practical and does not clash but fits in with the rest of the house. We have cooked some very flavoursome meals from pasta dishes, to baguette to eggs. The TV offers a range of channels. The upstairs is the forte with a beautiful master bedroom, featuring a four-poster bed and an en-suite with Jacuzzi. The whole complex had a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. The first day we visited Poppit bay where young Pie found her water legs and the boys dug holes in the sand. It was nice for walks not particularly attractive. The family were proud of Pie and her skills in the water. I would only recommend if you have a dog. The second day we visited Mwnt. A heavenly blessed, beautiful beach with a remarkable setting. The whole family bronzed up nicely and we can’t wait to show off our tans back home. Later that day we got fish and chips from Cardigan and went up the mountain to watch the sunset, which was simply divine and gave an everlasting memory in all our minds. I recommend this even though the fish and chips were a solid 6/10. The beach and mountain is a solid 10. An overall lovely experience and one that will be treasured as it was a lovely time with the family and everyone got on nicely. The dog ‘’Pie’’ was well behaved and everything is dog friendly. Reception Cell Phones!!!!! You can’t get reception here except, we found, on the window sill in the lounge opposite the TV, behind the couch. Behind green curtain with white wave design. A good experience – a lot of fun. There are plenty of things to do and see but we didn’t have the time and wanted to relax as well.

No Names listed (March). A Cottage-tastic venue to relax in. I spent many an hour relaxing in my bed and consuming food and beverages from the fridge. If struggling for reception on your cellular phone, the window sill next to the red sofa provides a quality reception though you may look a bit silly up there like I did LOL! Anyway enjoy your stay at this five star paradiseJ. HAVE FUN GUYS!!!

Amy and Andy (and Jeremy Beagle!), (April 2010). Clocktower cottage is stunning, we had a lovely stay here and look forward to visiting again. Local castle is a good place to visit – lovely views. We went to Mwnt on our first evening and watched sunset from the little beach – highly recommended. St Davids is worth a visit – the Cathedral there is beautiful and nearby Whitesands beach was good for the dog (Oct – Apr only). Cardigan is nice – a few good shops and nice little indoor market. We also visited Aberaeron (spelling!?) which is a pretty little town with colourful buildings. Plenty of nearby walks along the river etc which was great for the dog. We were very lucky with the weather and had a lovely holiday. (Thank God we didn’t go abroad – the sky is currently full of volcanic ash!!!). Thank you.

John and Pauline Green, (May 2010). We echo the comments already made. Great place to stay and location very good for walking etc. Meal in hotel was ‘good’ but for price I would have expected better. Both pubs in village fine although we didn’t eat there. Try Cenarth Cheese Farm if you like cheese. Great stuff!! Also if you are looking for a posh house plate then the slate workshop is worth a visit. A place hard not to enjoy…….

Jon, Sandra, Charlotte, Garry + Harvey Lee (Jul’10). Fantastic holiday, relaxed and not ready to go home. Visited lovely beaches – Poppit Sands, Whitesands Bay as beautiful as ever. Can’t wait to come back. Cottage has everything we could ever want. Thank you.

Joneses + Evenses (Jul’10). Gorgeous cottages in such a tranquil location – even the kids and dog slept in until 9am every day! Thank you xx.

Gill + John, Iris + Pete, Tasha + Elsa (German Shepherds), (Aug’10).This was a return holiday for us – Poppit Sands great for our dogs + beautiful. Best meal Linda’s Tai Takeaway – cooked in her own kitchen in her cottage opposite the 7 stars pub, but phone well in advance or go in and she gives free cookery lessons! Would return again!

Chris, Danielle & Jasmine Santilhano, (Aug’10). Our first time at the cottages – we’ve just spent a fabulous week at River Cottage – enjoying fabulous weather late in the Summer season – and a couple of extra days at Clocktower Cottage. Staff extremely helpful & friendly when we made the changeover. Both spacious and tastefully decorated. Clocktower was especially cosy (would be great in Autumn/Winter), but we loved both and can’t decide which we preferred! Enjoyed the many lovely beaches; were enchanted by seeing dolphins & Atlantic grey seals, which was mainly why we chose the Pembrokeshire Coast for our holiday. The area has much to offer & we will certainly return! Try Linda’s Thai Takeaway – yummy food & very good value.

Vicky & Sam Dakin, (Sep’10). We were staying here in March 2008 when we got engaged so we were very much looking forward to coming back for our honeymoon. It’s been a fantastic few days and we are now totally relaxed and don’t really want to go home! We are already planning our return. Thank you xxxx p.s. Thank you so much for the card and bubbly!J

Ian & Liz Green, Jim & Joan Green, Janet Barnard, (Sept’10). A lovely well-equipped cottage in beautiful surroundings. The countryside and coastline is spectacular & this cottage makes a lovely base. We have all enjoyed our week here – Thank you.

Sarah & Mono Sangaer, Alfie – the cockapoo, (Sep’10). Gorgeous cottage, lovely location – we will definitely return – fantastic!!

Nicole & Richard, (Sep’10). Fantastic doggie friendly place. Beaches are fantastic and the home cooked Thai from the village is a must.

Evans family, (Sep’10). Had a fantastic time, amazing place for family, lots to do, very cosy. Brilliant holiday!!!

Matt & Georgie Eykel, (Oct’10). Had a wonderful time, lots of beaches. Marloes is a must with its baby seals and porpoises. Weather has been fantastic (only rain on last day).

Lucy & Richard Carter, Annabelle & Ross Gage, Louis the Cocker Spaniel & Betty the Mini Schnauzer, (Oct’10). We have really enjoyed our holiday at the Clocktower. The weather has been fantastic, really sunny. Louis and Betty loved Poppit Sands. Had a wonderful beach ride with Norton Stables, superb views and exhilarating canters on Druidston Beach, Mum had a lovely time in the surf on her horse. Enjoyed river walk to Cilgerran Castle and stopped at pub in the village for a drink. Would recommend going to Mwnt beach and walking along the hill tops. Saw some stunning views. Found staff at Carpenter’s Arms very welcoming and enjoyed lovely meal at The Nags Head. Will definitely be returning!

Paul, Christine, Lauren & Myles Davies & Mini Schnauzer, Harriet, (Oct’10). Lovely cottages. Great walks with our dog at Mwnt beach, Poppit Sands. Also parked at Newport Beach and took the coastal path into Newport, lovely dog-friendly café (opp Spar)! We also enjoyed a meal at The Nags Head, where dog was welcome too! (Just over bridge towards Cenarth).

Carters (Oct’10). A lovely four day stay in a fantastic cottage. Great days out walking the beaches and coming back to a cosy cottage with the log burner going!

Agnes & John (Nov’10). Loved our time here, love West Wales fabulous scenery & actually got engaged @ the Clocktower Cottage. Log fire and red wine fantastic, but very short weekend. Will definitely be returning. But not to Carpenter’s Arms – manager quite rude so left and went to 7 Stars pub further up – much friendlierJ

O’Sullivan’s (Dec’10). A lovely relaxing week to end our honeymoon. Cottage is excellent and we very much enjoyed the log stove after some very chilly walks. Had a lovely meal at the hotel and a great take away from Abdul’s in Cilgerran. Thank you for the card and bubbly, it was a great touch. XX

Hylands & O’Doherty & Gaia (the lab), (Dec’10).The start of the week was a bit shaky with the lack of heating. Once the house got warm the holiday really started. Had lovely relaxing Xmas. Stunning walk along the river with a winter wonderland feel due to the snow. Felt cut off from the world due to no signal but grew to love having no mobile. The hotel very welcoming and food was good. We would certainly come again.
