2004 Clocktower Cottage Guest Comments

We have included every comment from our visitor's book - without any editing.

Fi & Chris Marks (Feb '04). Great cottage (particularly the bedroom) – Best beaches – Mwnt, Aberporth and Llangrannog. Lovely meal at the hotel. Thanks for a fab break (particularly the fantastic weather for February! )

Danny & Caroline (May '04). A wonderful conversion. Great spot for walking, we have enjoyed every minute, and look forward to returning!

Alan & Fiona Kidd (June'04). A great holiday, Clocktower ideal, relaxing, stylish and welcoming. A great meal can be enjoyed at Penbryn Inn, Cilgerran, following a lovely walk along the riverbank or 5 mins car drive away. Beaches at Poppit, Mwnt and Aberporth well worth a visit. Dylan and Tanya’s friendliness added to a perfect holiday. We will be returning.

Richard, Angela & Jacob Jones (Aug'04). A lovely relaxing place. Very picturesque location and ideal for wads of beaches and places to visit. Great beaches at Mwnt (especially if you want to see dolphins) and Poppit Sands. Plenty to do even if it rains !!

Sue, Selwyn & Tara the dog (Aug'04). We’ve had a really lovely week, despite the downpours, in this most attractive cottage in lovely surroundings. In addition to the beaches already mentioned, the 6 acre garden and tea room – ‘Bro Megan’ – Boncath (closed Tuesdays) B4332 is well worth a visit. A dog can be taken as well, provided it’s on a lead. Lots of interesting flowers & very nice cakes & coffee. The jewellery workshop – John + Victoria ( open Monday – Friday) at Ydlanddegwm, Llechryd, is also woth a visit. Good quality jewellery – mostly silver but also some gold. The Cleal Gallery Workshop Wales, in Monorocree, is also a must if you wish to see very high quality craft work and paintings. If you want a special meal we ate at the Castell Malgwyn next door, & the food / service was very good.

Mike & Alison Farkas (Aug'04). A beautiful cottage with great potential. We’ve had some lovely walks, including the coastal path from Newport Sands to Moylgrove (not for the faint hearted or a boisterous dog!). We were lucky enough to see dolphins whilst on coastal walk near Llangrannog (nice meals at the Ship here). Also beautiful meal at Pen-y-Bryn Inn – home cooked food (drive through Cilgerran to main road). Don't bother with the Carpenters Arms if you've got a dog they don't like them even in the garden. Also they were shut on Monday + full on Sunday. Not our first trip to Wales or our last – WELL DONE WALES !!

Christine & Barry Taylor & Jasper the dog, from Bristol (Aug'04). We have had a lovely time, Jasper will be sad to go home. Barry did not catch any fish but when we come back I dare say he will be feeding everyone !! Clocktower is lovely and I have enjoyed sitting in the window seats and watching the world go by. Thank you for a lovely break. See you next year (hopefully).

SEPTEMBER CLOSED FOR RESTORATION. RE-OPENED DECEMBER 2004.

Rees family, Nathan & Pam. (Xmas 2004) Perfect setting for our family gathering Christmas.
